A VARIETY OF DAILY ART AND TASK SKILLS GROUPS
PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ASSESSING AND IMPROVING:
* Assertiveness * Socialization/isolation * Cognition/problem solving/task sequencing * Creative and artistic expression * Self-awareness * Interpersonal and social skills * Stress management * Role development (parenting) * Self-sufficiency and interdependency * Frustration tolerance * Impulsivity * Coping Skills * Attention to tasks * Ability to follow directions * Appropriate leisure outlets
SERVICES
  • Education programs, treatment groups or classes
  • Functional evaluation and ongoing monitoring of consumers’ progress
  • Providing assistance and guidance via support groups
  • Individual goal setting with the consumer
  • Providing guidance and consultation for employment preparation
  • Independent Living Skills:
    • Community resources (food pantries, housing and rental assistance, temporary shelter, legal assistance)
    • Home management (e.g. paying bills, writing letters, cleaning, laundry)
    • Time management
    • Management of medication
    • Safety in the home and community (e.g. emergency numbers, cooking, public transportation)
    • Activities of Daily Living (hygiene)
provides skilled, individualized treatment to facilitate and develop the skills and supports necessary for independent, interdependent, productive living through increased management of consumers’ mental illness and daily quality of life.

INDIVIDUAL GOALS may include a transition to more independent living, increased independence in accessing transportation and improved hygiene which may improve one's sense of self-worth and assist with attaining or maintaining employment.
