Dear Friends:
We are proud to present the new Our Space mission statement,
logo and brochure. We believe they communicate our current philosophy
and values while honoring the legacy and traditions of Our Space,
Inc.
Since its inception in 1988, Our Space has remained responsive to the unmet needs of mental health consumers in Milwaukee County. Today we serve a diverse membership of 730 total members, 48% female, 52% male, 31% African American, 61% Caucasian, 6% Hispanic, 1% Native American and 1% Asian.
We believe that we have made a difference to the people we have served. Without Our Space, hundreds of individuals would have remained isolated and would have gone without the necessary psychosocial services that are such an integral part of each individual's recovery.
As we continue to meet consumers' psychosocial needs, Our Space now also offers programs and services that promote recovery, rehabilitation and renewal and which harness the potential and promise of people!
We embrace the challenges, difficulties and opportunities which beckon. The Our Space Board and staff will make necessary changes, however, with great care and great diligence. We will do so with respect for diversity and with inclusion as a core value in all decision-making. Our Space is committed to nurturing individuals and families, and involving and empowering community stakeholders. We will continue to build partnerships that maximize resources and foster comprehensive solutions to behavioral health needs.
As we prepare to meet the challenges ahead, we ask for your continued support of our efforts. To truly become a model of recovery-oriented, behavioral health care delivery, Our Space needs the help of everyone in this community and beyond. Please join us!
Sincerely,

Patrice Vitucci-Kessenich
